What is a podcast? Podcasts are a new form of broadcasting downloadable from the internet. The name "Podcast" is a combination of the words "iPod" and "broadcast." Podcasts are presented in a way which makes it easy to listen to them online, on your computer, or on the go using any MP3 or CD player. It does NOT require an iPod to use! Basically, it's an MP3 with some extra information, so if you know how to utilize MP3s you can easily utilize any podcast.

What do I need to listen? Any computer that has a podcast catcher (such as iTunes, Odeo, or iPodderX) or any MP3 player (not just for iPods!). If you download a podcast file you may copy it to any one of these players or burn it to an audio CD for use in your portable or car CD player.

How do I download one? Click on one of the DOWNLOAD links to save. You may right-click and save (for PC users) or cmd-click and save (for Mac users).

What's so special about your podcast? Granted, there are thousands of podcasts out there vying for your limited free time, but we try to offer all things useful from the saxophone world. There will be discussions about playing the saxophone, hints and tips about playing in a saxophone ensemble, historical discussions, as well as musical selections featuring the saxophone. So, if you are interested in the saxophone at all we try to make it worth your time to come back once a month and check us out.

How much does this cost? NOTHING! We don't charge for our podcasts and don't plan on it. We just want you to listen and give us feedback. Let us know what we can cover in our podcasts that you would want to hear about.
